No. The album was first released in 1977. This copy is a later European reissue on CBS, cat. no. 32062.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
The record is graded VG+ (Very Good Plus): light signs of use that barely affect playback. The sleeve is graded VG+ (Very Good Plus): light, purely cosmetic wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Why is "Birdland" so well known?
"Birdland" is Joe Zawinul's tribute to the New York jazz club of the same name. It was unusually successful for an instrumental and has since been covered by many musicians.

Do you have more Weather Report records?
Yes, for example Weather Report – Mr. Gone, Weather Report – 8:30 and Weather Report – Sweetnighter. More titles are in our Fusion collection.
