FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the 1983 German first edition on Enja with catalogue number 4050, here with original inner sleeve.

How long are the pieces?
Mama Rose runs just over 15 minutes, and Geechee fills all of side B at more than 18 minutes. That leaves plenty of room for extended solos by Shepp and Werner.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Archie Shepp records?
Yes, for example Archie Shepp – I Know About The Life, Yasmina, A Black Woman and Archie Shepp / Bill Dixon – Peace. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
