Description

Bill Evans – New Conversations is a solo album by pianist Bill Evans on Warner Bros. (cat. no. BSK 3177), released in 1978. It was recorded in January and February 1978 at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York, produced by Helen Keane and recorded and mixed by Frank Laico. As on "Conversations With Myself", Evans overdubs himself, this time on acoustic and electric piano. Alongside originals such as "Song For Helen" there are tunes by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Cy Coleman. This copy is a 1978 German pressing with insert.

FAQ

Does Bill Evans play alone here?
Yes. Evans played every part himself and layered several tracks, so he is in "conversation" with himself, hence the title.

Is this the original pressing?
It is a German pressing from the year of release, 1978. The first edition came out at the same time in the US with the same catalogue number BSK 3177.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Bill Evans records?
Yes, for example Bill Evans – You Must Believe In Spring and Bill Evans – At The Montreux Jazz Festival. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
