Description

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five – Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five is a compilation released in Germany in 1983 by TELDEC under licence from Sugar Hill Records. It collects the Bronx crew's key Sugar Hill singles in long 12" versions, including "The Message" from 1982, one of the first rap records with socially critical lyrics, the party mix "The Wheels Of Steel", which features Flash cutting live on the turntables, and "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)". More than half the tracks had previously only been available as singles. This copy is the 1983 German original (6.25 644).

What is The Wheels Of Steel?
The track, in full "The Adventures Of Grandmaster Flash On The Wheels Of Steel", is a live mix by Flash on two turntables built from pieces of records such as Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" and Blondie's "Rapture".
