Description

Miles Davis – Filles De Kilimanjaro is a transitional album by Miles Davis, between the acoustic post-bop of his second quintet and his electric fusion period. Recorded in New York in June and September 1968 and produced by Teo Macero, it was released by Columbia in the UK in late 1968 and in the US in February 1969. Herbie Hancock plays Fender Rhodes and Ron Carter bass guitar, and Chick Corea and Dave Holland appear on two tracks, their first known sessions with Davis. Gil Evans contributed to composition and arrangements without credit. This copy is a 1982 European CBS reissue.
