Description
Miles Davis – In A Silent Way is an album by Miles Davis, recorded in a single day, February 18, 1969, at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York and produced by Teo Macero. The original edition was released in July 1969. With three keyboard players (Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul) and John McLaughlin on electric guitar, the record marks Davis's turn to electric instruments and is seen as a forerunner of fusion; Macero edited the session tapes into two long suites, one per side. This copy is a European pressing on CBS (cat. no. S 63630), listed as from the release year 1969.

FAQ
Is this the original pressing?
It is a European CBS pressing, cat. no. S 63630, listed as from the release year 1969. The very first edition came out in the US on Columbia in 1969.
What does the cut-out hole on the sleeve mean?
Shops marked remaindered stock with a small punched hole or clipped corner. On this copy it is a very tiny hole on the back; the front is not affected.
What does Media VG+ and better / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that hardly affect playback; "and better" means parts of the record are in even better shape. The sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
