Description

Rolf Kühn – Cucu Ear is an album by Leipzig-born clarinettist Rolf Kühn, released in 1980 on MPS Records (cat. no. 0068.259). It was recorded and mixed in April and May 1980 at Rüssl Studio in Hamburg, with Walter Quintus as engineer. Kühn put together a line-up from very different backgrounds: his brother Joachim Kühn on piano and synthesizer, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass, Alphonse Mouzon on drums, plus Philip Catherine on guitar, Charlie Mariano and Herb Geller on saxophones and a horn section. Clarinet and Roland synthesizers meet jazz-funk grooves; four pieces are by Rolf and two by Joachim Kühn. This copy is the 1980 German original pressing.

NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) on the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Rolf Kühn records?
Yes, for example Rolf Kühn Group feat. Phil Woods – The Day After, The Rolf Kühn Group – Total Space and Rolf Kühn Jazzgroup – Devil In Paradise. From Joachim Kühn there is also Hip Elegy with Alphonse Mouzon.
