Description
Rolf Kühn Group feat. Phil Woods – The Day After is an album by German clarinettist Rolf Kühn with American alto saxophonist Phil Woods as guest. The group includes Rolf's brother Joachim Kühn on piano, Peter Warren (bass), Oliver Johnson (drums) and Brazilian percussionist Naná Vasconcelos on berimbau. It was recorded in July 1972 at Cornet Studio in Cologne and released on MPS the same year. The music moves between modern jazz and free improvisation, from Woods' feature Everything In The Garden to the three-part Sonata For Percussion, Piano And Clarinet.
