Description

Jan Hammer – Oh, Yeah? is the first album by the Jan Hammer Group, released in 1976 on Nemperor Records, a year after Hammer's solo album "The First Seven Days". The Prague-born keyboardist, formerly of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, produced and mixed the record himself at his Red Gate Studio. Instead of a concept piece, this is band jazz-rock with vocals by drummer Tony Smith, Steve Kindler on violin, Fernando Saunders on bass and Hammer's synthesizers up front. This copy is the original German 1976 edition.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. This is the German edition from the 1976 release year, distributed by WEA. The US edition carries catalogue number NE 437.

Is this a live album?
No. "Oh, Yeah?" is a studio production. You can hear the Jan Hammer Group live on "Jeff Beck With The Jan Hammer Group Live" from 1977.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of wear that hardly affect playback or overall appearance. The sleeve carries the same grade. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Jan Hammer records?
Yes, for example Jan Hammer – The First Seven Days or Jeff Beck With The Jan Hammer Group – Live. More titles are in our Jazz-Rock collection.
