Description

Bill Evans – The Sesjun Radio Shows is a double LP of live recordings made between 1973 and 1979 for the Dutch radio programme "TROS Sesjun". They were compiled by Cees Schrama, who had produced the broadcasts together with Dick de Winter. The set covers three phases of Evans' work: 1973 duo recordings with bassist Eddie Gomez, the trio with Gomez and Eliot Zigmund, and his last trio with Marc Johnson and Joe LaBarbera, partly joined by Toots Thielemans on harmonica. This copy is the 2011 Dutch first edition on Out Of The Blue with gatefold sleeve and original inner sleeves.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. The double LP was first released in the Netherlands in 2011 on Out Of The Blue (PRLP2011006), alongside the double CD. The recordings themselves come from radio broadcasts between 1973 and 1979.

Does it include "Waltz For Debby" or "Autumn Leaves"?
No. This LP edition includes "Time Remembered", "Some Other Time", "My Romance", "Laurie" and "Blue In Green", among others. The double CD has a few more tracks than the vinyl edition.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of wear that hardly affect playback or overall appearance. The sleeve carries the same grade. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Bill Evans records?
Yes, for example Bill Evans – You Must Believe In Spring or Bill Evans Trio – How My Heart Sings. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
