Description

Billy Cobham – Crosswinds is the second solo album by drummer Billy Cobham, released on Atlantic in 1974. The shop title mistakenly reads "Crossroads"; the catalogue number, sleeve and music are Crosswinds. It was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York and remixed at Trident Studios in London, produced by Cobham and Ken Scott. Side A is taken up by the four-part suite "Spanish Moss – A Sound Portrait"; the band includes George Duke, John Abercrombie and Michael and Randy Brecker. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard jazz chart. This copy is the German original pressing on Atlantic.

FAQ

Is it called "Crossroads" or "Crosswinds"?
The album is "Crosswinds". Catalogue number ATL 50 037 is the German Atlantic edition of Crosswinds; the name in the shop title is a typo.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, it is a German original pressing on Atlantic with catalogue number ATL 50 037. The US edition came out in 1974 as Atlantic SD 7300.

What does Media close to NM- / Cover VG mean?
Close to NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is almost like new with at most minimal signs of play. VG (Very Good) means the sleeve shows clear wear, here traces of a removed sticker on the front and shelf wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Billy Cobham records?
Yes, for example Billy Cobham – A Funky Thide Of Sings and The Best Of Billy Cobham. More titles are in our Fusion collection.
