Description

Herbie Hancock – Perfect Machine is Hancock's last album for Columbia/CBS, released in May 1988. He produced it together with Bill Laswell, with recordings made in studios in Los Angeles and New York. Alongside Hancock's array of synthesizers, the sound is shaped by Bootsy Collins on bass and Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner of the Ohio Players on vocals, plus turntablist Grand Mixer D.ST. On Maiden Voyage / P. Bop Hancock revisits his own 1965 jazz theme in electronic form. This copy is a 1988 European original pressing on CBS.
