Description

Depeche Mode – Stripped (Highland Mix) is the 12" maxi for the first single from the album "Black Celebration" (Mute, cat. no. INT 126.835 / 12 Bong 10). The song was written by Martin L. Gore and produced by Depeche Mode, Daniel Miller and Gareth Jones; the single came out on 10 February 1986, about a month before the album, and reached No. 15 in the UK. The Highland Mix on side A is by Flood (Mark Ellis). It is joined by a longer version of the B-side "But Not Tonight", "Breathing In Fumes" – a heavily reworked version of "Stripped" – plus "Fly On The Windscreen (Quiet Mix)" and "Black Day". This copy is the 1986 German original pressing, made under licence by Intercord.

FAQ

What is the Highland Mix?
An extended mix of "Stripped" by Flood (Mark Ellis), running about 6:40. The album version on "Black Celebration" is much shorter.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, according to the listing this is the 1986 German first edition. The maxi was repressed in Germany several times under the same catalogue number, including 1987 and 1990.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Media NM-: the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. Cover VG+: the sleeve shows light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Depeche Mode records?
Yes, for example Depeche Mode – A Question Of Time (New Town Mix) 12", Depeche Mode – Black Celebration (LP, DE 1986) and Depeche Mode – Master And Servant (Slavery Whip Mix) 12". More titles are in our Synth-Pop collection.
