Description

Miles Davis – Kind Of Blue is trumpeter Miles Davis's best-known album and a cornerstone of modal jazz. It was recorded on March 2 and April 22, 1959 at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York, produced by Irving Townsend, and first released by Columbia in August 1959. Instead of dense chord changes, the pieces are built on a few scales over which John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley and Davis improvise freely. This copy is a 1985 European stereo reissue on CBS.
