FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the 1985 German edition on Sugar Hill Records, manufactured by Teldec, not a later reissue.

Is the coloured vinyl special?
Discogs lists the German Sugar Hill edition on yellow translucent vinyl as a separate variant alongside the regular German edition with the same catalogue number. This copy is the yellow variant.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Melle Mel records?
Yes, for example Grandmaster Melle Mel & The Furious Five – Grandmaster Melle Mel & The Furious Five (DE 1984) and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five – The Message (DE 1982). More titles are in our Hip Hop collection.
