Description
Kurtis Blow – The Best Rapper On The Scene is a 1983 compilation by New York rap pioneer Kurtis Blow on Mercury (cat. no. 814 964-1). It contains no new material: side A collects the four tracks of the EP Party Time? and side B the four tracks of Tough, whose cover photo is reused here. The recordings were produced by J.B. Moore and Robert Ford Jr., with vocal arrangements on side A by Full Force. In 1979 Kurtis Blow became the first rapper signed to a major label. This copy is the 1983 German original pressing.
