Description

Elvis Presley – King Creole is the soundtrack album to the 1958 film of the same name, set in New Orleans and based on Harold Robbins' novel "A Stone For Danny Fisher". The songs were recorded in January and February 1958 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, shortly before Elvis was drafted. The original was released in September 1958 on RCA Victor; "Hard Headed Woman" became a No. 1 hit, and the album reached No. 2 in the US and No. 1 in the UK. Several songs were written by Leiber and Stoller. This copy is a German reissue with cat. no. LSP-1884; the year of this pressing is not stated.

Which hit comes from this soundtrack?
"Hard Headed Woman" reached No. 1 on the US singles chart in 1958, and "Don't Ask Me Why" made No. 25.

Media VG+ and better: at least VG+, meaning only light signs of use; parts of the record are in even better shape. Cover VG+: the sleeve shows light wear, with some shelf wear here. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example Kissin' Cousins, Roustabout and Elvis Sings Hits From His Movies Vol. 1. More titles are in our Beat / Rock & Roll collection.
