John Coltrane With The Red Garland Trio – Traneing In is an album John Coltrane recorded on August 23, 1957 at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in Hackensack with pianist Red Garland's trio (produced by Bob Weinstock). It was released in early 1958 on Prestige (PRLP 7123), at first under the title "John Coltrane With The Red Garland Trio"; in 1961 it was reissued with a new cover as "Traneing In". Besides two Coltrane compositions it includes the ballads "Slow Dance" and "You Leave Me Breathless". This copy is the 1985 US reissue in the Original Jazz Classics series (OJC-189).
