FAQ

What is the difference between synth-pop and new wave?
New wave is an umbrella term for the pop and rock music that grew out of punk in the late 70s. Synth-pop is one style of it, where synthesizers and drum machines define the sound – typical of Depeche Mode, Yazoo or Pet Shop Boys.

What is a maxi single?
A maxi single is a single in 12-inch format, usually playing at 45 rpm. It often contains longer extended versions or remixes that are not on the album.

How do you grade the condition?
Every used record is checked by hand and graded to the Goldmine standard, with vinyl (media) and sleeve (cover) graded separately. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
