FAQ

What is the difference between ska, reggae and dub?
Ska emerged in Jamaica in the early 60s – fast, with accented offbeats and horns. Via rocksteady it developed into the slower reggae by the late 60s. Dub is a studio technique from reggae: producers such as King Tubby or Lee "Scratch" Perry remixed instrumental versions with lots of reverb, echo and bass.

How do you grade the condition?
Every used record is checked by hand and graded to the Goldmine standard, with vinyl (media) and sleeve (cover) graded separately. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
