"Fields Of Fire" and "In A Big Country" are two of the most anthemic tracks from Big Country's landmark debut album The Crossing (1983). Driven by Stuart Adamson's signature guitar sound - designed to evoke the drone of bagpipes - the band created a sweeping, emotionally charged rock sound that was entirely their own. "In A Big Country" became an international hit, reaching the Top 20 in both the UK and the US. This German original pressing on Mercury is a great piece of 80s rock history.
