Ras Records Presents – A Reggae Christmas is a Christmas compilation from the Real Authentic Sound label (RAS Records), released in 1984 (cat. no. RAS 3101). It was produced by RAS founder Doctor Dread and Freddie McGregor. All but one track were recorded at Music Mountain Studios in Kingston over rhythms by the Studio One Band; Eek-A-Mouse's “The Night Before Christmas” was recorded at Planet Sound in New York. Familiar carols and Christmas songs such as “Jingle Bells”, “Silent Night” and “Feliz Navidad” get a reggae treatment. This copy is the 1984 UK original, marketed by Greensleeves.
