The Velvet Underground - Loaded (Clear Vinyl LP | Reissue | 2023)

The Velvet Underground – Loaded is the fourth studio album by the New York band and the last with Lou Reed. It was made in 1970 at Atlantic Studios in New York and released in November 1970 on Cotillion, an Atlantic subsidiary. Reed left the band on 23 August 1970, before the album came out; drummer Maureen Tucker was absent on maternity leave, so Doug Yule played much of the bass, keyboards and drums and sang four songs. The title refers to Atlantic's request for an album "loaded with hits"; with "Sweet Jane" and "Rock & Roll" it contains two of Reed's best-known songs. This copy is a limited 2023 reissue on Rhino, pressed on clear vinyl.
