Description

Third Eye – Third Eye is the album by the fusion quartet Third Eye, led by bassist Alfred Haurand and drummer Frank Köllges, with Jan Huydts on Fender Rhodes, synthesizers and Mellotron and Steve Boston on congas. It was recorded on 11 and 12 January 1976 at Blackfield Studio in Kirchhellen and released in 1976 on the Moers label Ring Records. The music combines grooving jazz-rock with percussion, keyboard textures and short solo pieces such as Bass-Raga and Arco-Mio. A curiosity: side A ends in a locked groove. This copy is the German original pressing (Ring Records 01004).

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the German first issue from 1976 on Ring Records, number 01004.

Why does side A keep playing at the end?
Side A has no run-out groove and ends in a locked groove, so the music keeps going until you lift the tonearm. Some turntables with auto-return will not lift the arm automatically.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) for the record means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
