Description

Manowar – The Triumph Of Steel is Manowar's seventh studio album, released in September 1992 on Atlantic (cat. no. 7567-82423-1). It was recorded at the band's own Haus Wahnfried studio in New York and produced by Manowar with John Pettigrass. It is the only album with guitarist David Shankle and drummer Kenny "Rhino" Edwards. It opens with the roughly 28-minute "Achilles, Agony And Ecstasy In Eight Parts" based on Homer's Iliad, split across sides A and B on this double LP. This copy is a 1992 German repress with both printed inner sleeves.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
It is a German pressing from the 1992 release year, more precisely a repress, i.e. a later run of the first edition with the same catalogue number 7567-82423-1. It is not one of the later coloured-vinyl reissues.

Why is "Achilles" split over two sides?
The piece runs just over 28 minutes and does not fit on one LP side. The sections from "Prelude" to "Armor Of The Gods" are on side A, the rest from "Hector's Final Hour" on side B.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ (shelf wear) mean?
VG+ (Very Good Plus) on the record means light signs of play that barely affect listening. On the sleeve, VG+ means light wear; the note "shelf wear" describes it more precisely for this copy. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Manowar records?
Yes, for example Manowar – Kings Of Metal (EU Original 1988), Manowar – Fighting The World (EU Original 1987). More titles are in our Metal collection.
