Description

Old Soul – Natures Arms Encircle All is the album by Old Soul, a band formed in Michigan in 2011 that combines screamo, post-rock and black metal. It was recorded in 2011 by Kevin Kitchel and first came out only as a self-released CD. The first vinyl edition was released on November 4, 2014 as a joint release by five independent labels, pressed at United Record Pressing. The four tracks range from the four-minute “Ocean”, which opens with a spoken passage, to the twelve-minute-plus “Shallows”. This copy is that 2014 US first vinyl edition.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
It is the first vinyl edition. The album itself was recorded in 2011 and only released as a self-released CD at the time. The 2014 LP was limited to 500 copies.

What does Media M- / Cover NM- mean?
M- stands for Mint minus, practically like new with no visible signs of play, which is the grade of the record. NM- stands for Near Mint minus, close to new with at most minimal signs of wear, which is the grade of the sleeve. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

What does the album sound like?
Old Soul combine the emotional force of screamo with long, atmospheric post-rock passages and outbursts towards black metal. At release it was recommended to fans of bands like City Of Caterpillar or Saetia.

Do you have more Old Soul records?
Right now this is our only Old Soul album. More black metal and related records are in our Metal collection.
