Description

Samson – Last Rites is a compilation by London band Samson, released in 1984 on the British label Thunderbolt. Samson was founded in 1977 by guitarist and singer Paul Samson and was part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal; Bruce Dickinson sang with the band from late 1979 to 1981 before joining Iron Maiden, and drummer Thunderstick performed inside a cage. Last Rites came out in the year the band split and collects early material on one LP. This copy is the 1984 UK original pressing.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the 1984 UK first edition on Thunderbolt (THBL-015).

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that hardly affect the overall impression. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

What is the connection between Samson and Iron Maiden?
Bruce Dickinson sang with Samson from late 1979 to 1981, then billed as Bruce Bruce, before joining Iron Maiden. Drummer Clive Burr also played with Samson for a time.

Do you have more Samson records?
At the moment this is our only Samson record. Related titles include, for example, Bruce Dickinson – Tattooed Millionaire (12"). More titles are in our Iron Maiden collection and Metal collection.
