FAQ

Does coloured vinyl sound worse than black vinyl?
With modern pressings the difference is usually small. Black vinyl contains carbon black, which makes the material slightly more stable – so coloured and especially splatter pressings can have marginally more surface noise. Picture discs are usually the noisiest.

What is Record Store Day?
Record Store Day (RSD) is an annual event for independent record shops, with many exclusive limited pressings released for it. There is also a Black Friday edition.

Are the new records factory sealed?
Yes, new records are factory sealed. We do not take pre-orders: new records are only listed once they have arrived – so they are in stock and ship immediately.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
