FAQ

What is a picture disc?
A picture disc is a record with a printed image pressed between transparent layers of vinyl, so the artwork is visible across the whole playing surface. Picture discs are usually released as limited collector's editions.

Do picture discs sound worse than black vinyl?
Because of how they are made, picture discs can have slightly more surface noise than standard black pressings. Many collectors buy them mainly for the look – they play just like any other record.

How do you grade the condition?
Every used record is checked by hand and graded to the Goldmine standard, with vinyl (media) and sleeve (cover) graded separately. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Are the images photos of the actual record?
Yes. We scan every record ourselves – used and new. For used records you get exactly the copy shown.
