Description
Beastie Boys – Licensed To Ill is the debut album by the New York group of Ad-Rock, MCA and Mike D. Recorded in 1985/86 at Chung King Studios in New York and produced by Rick Rubin with the band, it was released on November 15, 1986 on Def Jam / Columbia. Its mix of rap and heavy rock riffs made it the first rap album to reach No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, with hits like "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)", "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" and "Brass Monkey". This copy is the 1986 UK first pressing on Def Jam / CBS (450062 1) in a gatefold sleeve with inner sleeve.
