Jel – Greenball (Vinyl LP | US | Still In Shrink | 2001)

Jel – Greenball is the first instrumental album by Jel, real name Jeffrey Logan, a producer from Oakland and co-founder of the Anticon label, also known from the groups Themselves and Subtle. According to the label, the twelve beats were made "next to my bed" between 1997 and 2000; the Greenball series collects instrumentals that were either released with vocals or never released, and the early instalments are built mainly on the E-mu SP-1200 sampler. This copy is the 2001 US LP on 6months (6m0004), with the sleeve still in its shrink wrap.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, "Greenball" was released in 2001 on the 6months label with catalogue number 6m0004; this is that US edition. Later instalments of the series followed from 2004 as "Greenball II", "Greenball 3rd" and so on.

Is "still in shrink" the same as new and sealed?
No. The sleeve is still in its shrink wrap, but the record is sold as second hand; we do not promise an unopened factory seal.

What does Media NM- / Cover NM- mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means record and sleeve are close to new with at most minimal signs of wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more records from this scene?
Yes, for example the Beyond Space Compilation Vol. 1 with artists from the Anticon circle. More titles are in our Hip Hop collection.
