Description

Caravan – Waterloo Lily is the fourth studio album by Canterbury band Caravan, released on Deram on 19 May 1972 and produced by David Hitchcock. It is the only Caravan album with keyboard player Steve Miller, whose Wurlitzer electric piano gives the record a noticeably jazzier sound; the cover shows a detail from William Hogarth's series "A Rake's Progress". This copy is a UK reissue (Deram SDL 8) in a gatefold sleeve.

Why does "Waterloo Lily" matter to Canterbury fans?
Shortly after the album Richard Sinclair and Steve Miller left Caravan to join a reformed Delivery – which led to Hatfield and the North. "The Love in Your Eye" remained a Caravan live staple for decades.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
