FAQ about Sade

Is Sade a singer or a band?
Both: Sade Adu is the singer, but “Sade” is also the name of the band with Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale, who recorded all the albums together.

80s original or 2024 reissue?
The originals of “Diamond Life” and “Promise” are easy to find and sound very good. The 2024 reissues were newly cut with half-speed mastering and are the best choice if you want new vinyl. Originals of “Love Deluxe” (1992) came out on vinyl only in a small run during the CD era and are sought after accordingly.

Which Sade album should I buy first?
“Diamond Life” (1984) is the classic with the best-known songs. If you prefer something calmer and deeper, go for “Love Deluxe”.
