Description

Elvis Presley – Elvis In Germany is a themed compilation from RCA International’s “Take Off!” budget series, released in 1982. It centres on songs from the Germany-set film G.I. Blues (1960), including “Wooden Heart” (based on “Muss i denn”), “G.I. Blues” and “Frankfort Special”, plus other film and studio recordings such as “Fool”. Side B closes with three interviews recorded at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in September 1958, when Elvis left for his military service in Germany. This copy is the 1982 German original (cat. no. NL 43730) with inner sleeve.

No. The songs were recorded in US studios; the record collects titles with a German connection, mainly from the film G.I. Blues, plus interviews about Elvis’ departure for Germany in 1958.

Is this the original pressing?
Yes. It is the 1982 German first edition from the “Take Off!” series, catalogue number NL 43730.

What does Media VG+ / Cover VG+ mean?
Both record and sleeve are graded VG+. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that hardly affect playback or overall appearance. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more Elvis Presley records?
Yes, for example Elvis Presley – Elvis In Hollywood, Elvis Presley – Elvis Sings Hits From His Movies Vol. 1 or Elvis Presley – This Is Elvis. More titles are in our Beat / Rock ’n’ Roll collection.
