Description
Gilla – I Like Some Cool Rock 'n' Roll is the second English-language album by Austrian singer Gilla (Gisela Wuchinger from Linz), released on Hansa in February 1980. Discovered by Frank Farian, who acted as executive producer for FAR Music here, Gilla had hits in the late seventies such as “Tu es” and a German version of “Lady Marmalade”; she also co-wrote Boney M.'s “I See A Boat On The River”. The album mixes disco, synth-pop and rock – with original songs and covers such as “We Gotta Get Out Of This Place” and “The Summerwind”. On offer is the 1980 German original pressing on Hansa International.
