Description
Jasper Van 't Hof's Pili Pili – Hoomba-Hoomba is the second album by Pili Pili, the project in which Dutch keyboardist Jasper Van 't Hof combines synthesizers and grand piano with African percussion and vocals. It was recorded in May 1985 at Studio Spitsbergen in Zuidbroek, mixed in July 1985 at Soundpush Studios in Blaricum and produced by Chris Hinze; it was released in 1985 on Virgin (cat. no. 207 322). The line-up includes Manfred Schoof on trumpet and flugelhorn and the then still young singer Angélique Kidjo, who wrote the lyrics to "Ilé".
