Miles Davis – Tutu is Miles Davis's first album for Warner Bros., named after South African archbishop Desmond Tutu, and was released on September 29, 1986. It was recorded between February 6 and March 25, 1986, mainly at Capitol Studios in Hollywood and Clinton Recording Studios in New York. Bassist Marcus Miller wrote and arranged almost all the music, played most of the instruments himself and produced it with Tommy LiPuma; Backyard Ritual is by George Duke and Perfect Way is a Scritti Politti song. This copy is the 1986 European original pressing with original inner sleeve.

Who wrote the album?
Almost everything is by Marcus Miller, who built the tracks in the studio largely on his own with synthesizers and drum machines; Miles Davis added his trumpet on top. The exceptions are Backyard Ritual by George Duke and Perfect Way by Scritti Politti.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
