Description

Niagara – Afire is the third album by Niagara, the percussion project of German jazz drummer Klaus Weiss, released in 1973 on Finger (cat. no. 2960 102, Polydor Medium series). It was recorded at Bavaria Musikstudios; Weiss composed, arranged and produced all tracks, with Wolfgang Löper as engineer. After "S.U.B." (1972), which also used horns, "Afire" relies almost entirely on drums, congas, timbales, bongos and electric bass, with the harmonies coming from tuned drums. This copy is the 1973 German original pressing in stereo.
