Description

Supertramp – Crime Of The Century is the British band's third studio album from 1974 and is widely seen as their breakthrough. Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson combine progressive rock with catchy pop rock – from "School" through "Bloody Well Right" and "Dreamer" to the title track. This is the 1980 European half-speed mastered edition from the audiophile "CBS Mastersound" series.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No – this is the 1980 audiophile reissue. The original came out on A&M in 1974.

What does "half-speed mastered" mean?
The tape and the cutting lathe run at half speed while the lacquer is cut. This allows a more precise cut, which is why collectors value these pressings for their detail. You can identify this edition by the "HAM-2" matrix in the run-out groove.

What do media NM- / sleeve VG+ mean?
NM- means near mint with barely visible marks; VG+ for the sleeve means light wear, here on corners and edges. More on our Vinyl Grading page.
