FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The original was released in the US in 1967 (EKS-74007). This copy is a later German Elektra reissue with catalogue number ELK 42 012.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear, here at the edges and from storage. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Why was there no regular bass player?
The Doors played without a bassist; Ray Manzarek covered the bass lines live on a keyboard bass. In the studio, session musician Larry Knechtel helped out on several tracks.

Do you have more The Doors records?
Yes, for example The Doors – Strange Days, The Doors – Waiting For The Sun or The Doors – Absolutely Live. More titles are in our Psychedelic Rock collection.
