The Meditations – Message From The Meditations is the debut album by Jamaican roots reggae trio The Meditations: Ansel Cridland, Winston Watson and Danny Clarke. It was produced by Dobby Dobson and first released in the US in 1976 on Double-D Records and in Jamaica in 1977. In 1978 United Artists issued it internationally, in the UK with catalogue number UAS 30178. All ten songs were written by the three singers, including “Woman Is Like A Shadow”. This copy is that 1978 UK United Artists edition.

It is the first UK edition from 1978 on United Artists. The album itself was first released in the US in 1976 on Double-D Records and in 1977 on the Jamaican label Wild Flower.

Who are The Meditations?
A Jamaican vocal trio founded by Ansel Cridland, Winston Watson and Danny Clarke. The group also sang backing vocals for other artists, for example on “Bongo Man” from Jimmy Cliff's album Give Thankx.
