Description
The Morwells – The Best Of is an album by the Jamaican roots reggae group The Morwells, led by Maurice “Blacka Morwell” Wellington and Eric “Bingy Bunny” Lamont, released in the US in 1981. It was produced by Bingy Bunny and Blacka Morwell themselves, with Flabba Holt also singing; it was recorded at Joe Gibbs and Channel One studios and mixed by Sylvan Morris. Despite the title, it is a set of new recordings rather than a compilation of older hits. Bingy Bunny and Flabba Holt were also members of the studio band Roots Radics. This copy is a 1981 US pressing on Jahmani (cat. no. JMI 400).
