Description

A Split-Second – A Split-Second is the debut 12" EP by Belgian Electronic Body Music project A Split-Second, released in 1986 on Antler Records (cat. no. ANTLER 046). The project is led by Marc Ickx; the EP was produced and engineered by Chrismar Chayell at TOP Studio in Ghent and mixed and mastered by Roland Beelen at Ace Studio in Aartselaar. It contains "Flesh", the track that made the band known and that was later also played in the Belgian new beat scene. This copy is the original 1986 Belgian pressing.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes, it is the first Belgian edition from 1986 on Antler Records, distributed by Play It Again Sam.

What is EBM?
EBM stands for Electronic Body Music, a style that emerged in the 1980s mainly in Belgium and Germany, built on hard sequencer bass lines, danceable rhythms and often short, cold vocals. Antler Records was one of the key Belgian labels for it.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
Record: NM- (Near Mint minus) means close to new with at most minimal signs of use. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus) means light signs of use that barely affect playback or the overall impression. The sleeve has a price sticker on the back and a tiny tear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Do you have more records in this style?
Yes, more EBM and industrial titles are in our Industrial collection and under Electronic.
