Description

Anita O'Day – An Evening With Anita O'Day is an album by jazz singer Anita O'Day, first released in 1956 on Norman Granz's Norgran label (MGN 1057). The twelve tracks were cut in Los Angeles in 1954 and 1955 with small groups, including guitarists Barney Kessel and Tal Farlow and pianists Arnold Ross, Bud Lavin and Jimmy Rowles. Next to standards by Cole Porter, Gershwin and Rodgers & Hart there is a blues, “Anita's Blues”. This copy is a 1974 Japanese mono reissue on Verve (MV 2526) from the “Immortal Jazz On Verve III” series, Vol. 6, with insert, no obi.
