Aretha Franklin – Queen Of Soul (Vinyl LP | US Original | 1968)

Aretha Franklin – Queen Of Soul was released in 1968 on Columbia's budget label Harmony and collects recordings from Aretha's early Columbia years. Instead of Atlantic soul you get standards and ballads like "You Made Me Love You", "Love For Sale" and "What A Diff'rence A Day Made" – with a gospel and jazz touch. A fine document of the singer before her big breakthrough.

On offer is the original US pressing from 1968 on Harmony (HS 11274) with original inner sleeve (OIS).
