FAQ

Is this an original pressing?
Yes, as far as the compilation goes: this selection was released in Germany in 1967 on Verve (711 057). The individual recordings are older and had been issued before.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of play. VG+ (Very Good Plus) means the sleeve shows light wear, here at the corners and edges. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.

Is "Strange Fruit" included?
Yes, as the second track on side A, in a version with the line-up around Willie Smith and Joe Guy, not the 1939 Commodore studio recording.

Do you have more Billie Holiday records?
Yes, for example Billie Holiday – Lady Sings The Blues. More titles are in our Jazz collection.
