Description

Brian Eno – Music for Films collects Eno's recordings from 1975 to 1978 – some made as soundtrack material, some later used in films – and was originally released in 1978. Its short, atmospheric pieces are among the foundations of ambient music. This is the Canadian reissue on Editions EG (EGS 105) – still factory sealed, with cut-out marking.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
No. The album was first released in 1978. This is the 1982 Canadian reissue on Editions EG (EGS 105), still sealed.

Why does the track order differ from the first edition?
For the Editions EG reissues, the album was kept identical in content but, according to the back cover, rearranged into a “more satisfactory” sequence.

What does “cut-out” mean?
In North America, retailers marked overstock copies with a notch, a drilled hole or a clipped corner on the sleeve. It only affects the sleeve, not the record. More on condition grades on our Vinyl Grading page.
