Chick Corea Akoustic Band With John Patitucci And Dave Weckl - Live (Vinyl 3LP | Gatefold | Reissue | 2022)

Chick Corea Akoustic Band – Live is a live album by Chick Corea's acoustic trio with John Patitucci on bass and Dave Weckl on drums, recorded on January 13, 2018 at the SPC Music Hall in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was the trio's first release in more than two decades and came out on Concord Jazz in September 2021, a few months after Corea's death. Next to Corea originals such as Morning Sprite, Rhumba Flamenco and Eternal Child, the trio plays standards by Ellington, Monk and Arthur Schwartz; Corea's solo on "Humpty Dumpty (Set 2)" won the 2022 Grammy for Best Improvised Jazz Solo. This copy is the 2022 triple-LP edition (Concord Jazz CJA00292) in a gatefold sleeve with booklet.
