Description

David Bowie – "Heroes" is David Bowie's twelfth studio album and the middle part of his "Berlin Trilogy". Recorded in July and August 1977 at Hansa studios in West Berlin and produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti with Brian Eno, it was released on 14 October 1977 by RCA and reached No. 3 in the UK. Besides the title track, the instrumentals on side B such as "Sense of Doubt" and "Neuköln" define the album. This copy is the US original pressing from 1977 on RCA (AFL1-2522) – still in shrink and marked as a cut-out.

FAQ

Is this the original pressing?
Yes – it is the US first issue from 1977 on RCA, cat. no. AFL1-2522.

What does "cut-out" mean?
In the US, labels marked surplus stock (e.g. with a clipped corner, a drill hole or a saw cut) and sold it off at a discount. The marking is typical of American copies and is visible in the images.

What does Media NM- / Cover VG+ mean?
NM- (Near Mint minus) means the record is close to new with at most minimal signs of use. VG+ (Very Good Plus) for the sleeve means light wear. All grades are explained on our Vinyl Grading page.
