Description

Deep Purple – Machine Head is Deep Purple's sixth studio album. It was recorded December 6–21, 1971 at the Grand Hotel in Montreux using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio, produced by the band with engineer Martin Birch. The fire at the Montreux Casino during the sessions inspired "Smoke On The Water". The album came out in March 1972 and reached No. 1 in the UK and Germany. This copy is the 1972 German edition on Purple Records distributed by HÖR ZU (cat. no. SHZE 344) with red HörZu logo, gatefold sleeve, insert and HÖR ZU inner sleeve.
